Create using Paper Scraps Part 2!

I am continuing my Create using Paper Scraps Part 2 today with a second card that uses some of the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper scraps I have accumulated from creating so many projects with the lovely printed patterns in the collection of papers from Stampin’ Up! So many projects that I already need to order myself a second pack!

Create using Paper Scraps Part 2

Scrappy Card using Delightful Daisy Designer Series Papers.

Today’s card is just as fun as yesterday’s. For today’s card you will need the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper strips and:

Step 1: Dye a 13″-14″ piece of 3/8″ Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon by placing it in a container with some rubbing alcohol and a few drops of Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Ink. Let it soak until it is a little darker than the desired intensity. Set aside to dry. (Note: The color will lighten a little as it dries.)

Step 2: Glue the first Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper strip diagonally across the width of the 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of cardstock. Add matching additional Designer Series Paper strips on either side of the diagonal strip, placing the strips so they angle towards the edge of the cardstock foundation. (Note: I used the same patterns of Designer Series Paper on each side, but reversed the order in which I placed them. This helps create a balance in the color and pattern distribution.)

Step 3: Flip the covered piece of cardstock over and trim the edges. Glue to the front of a Night of Navy cardstock base. Decorate as desired. (I stamped the flower stems first, then stamped the outline image of the flowers before stamping each flower with the solid flower image in the colors shown. Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the flower centers and a few sequins from the Gold Mini Sequins Trim were added using our NEW Mini Glue Dots.)

Step 4: Tie the dyed 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon (or 5/8″ Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding) around the card and tie. Trim ends as needed. Stamp or sign the back of the card to let others know you made it yourself!

I have shared two card samples that I created using paper scraps. Now it’s time for you to give it a try yourself. Feel free to share your Create using Paper Scraps cards with me!
