Handmade Christmas Greeting Card!
Today’s handmade Christmas greeting card is another quick and easy project using the Limited Edition Hostess Set Merry Patterns. I love candles so I not only used the candle image for today’s Christmas card, but also included a candle in the photo with the card!
While today’s card may look difficult, it is actually quick and easy to create. The Merry Patterns stamp set and the Layering Circles Framelits make it easy!
To create the card: Add the piece of Be Merry Designer Series Paper to the lower front a Thick Whisper White cardstock card base. Then stamp the candles image from the Limited Edition Merry Patterns stamp set in the center of the remaining white portion of the card front using Archival Basic Black ink. The two textured candles images are then stamped to fill in the candle outlines. I used Cherry Cobbler and Wild Wasabi for my card. The candle flames are filled in with Daffodil Delight, and the pine branches are stamped several times using Garden Green. (Be sure to flip the image so the branches will appear to be on long garland of pine needles.) The Cherry Cobbler circle frame is a “found” piece of cardstock, left on my table from when I created the Musical Season card for our Unit Card Swap last month. (You can view that card here.) I wrapped a length of our Gold 1/8″ Ribbon around the circle frame before gluing it to the card front, and then added a bow to the front. Voila! Don’t forget to stamp or sign the back!
