Holiday 2017 Swap Time!
Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Holiday Catalog was released on September 1, 2017. You know what that means?!? It is Holiday 2017 Swap Time!
There are several swaps I participate in each time Stampin’ Up! introduces a new catalog. Today’s gallery includes cards from our Stampin’ Up! Unit Swap which was held on Monday.
Colleen used the Christmas Quilt Bundle for her swap cards. She did several different and beautiful color variations. I love all quilt inspired cards so it was hard to chose from among them, but this was my favorite color combination. (Note: The saying is from the One Big Meaning stamp set.)
Patty used the Carols of Christmas stamp set. I LOVE the use of the Holly Textured Impressions Folder and the gold accents. It gives the card the royal and festive look it deserves. (Note: Carols of Christmas is available as a bundle or separately, and in wood mount or clear mount.)
Nancy used the Every Good Wish stamp set (available in wood mount or clear mount) for her card. The 1/4″ Cherry Cobbler Double-Stitched Ribbon adds just the right touch, creating a simple yet elegant the card!
Nancy often does two sets of cards for our Unit Swaps. This is the second of her designs. She used the Feeling of Christmas stamp set (available in wood mount or clear mount.). I like that the color combination is not the traditional red and green. We all need some variety in our life!
Melinda used the Wise Men from Afar stamp set (available in clear mount or wood mount) and the Eclipse technique which is quite popular right now. (Note: I haven’t tried the technique yet myself, but will be soon, especially after receiving Melinda’s card so I can see the 3D effect in person.)
Arlene is the newest member of our unit, so this was her first time joining our Unit Swap. She decided to create two different designs, both of them use the Carols of Christmas Bundle. The “Peace on Earth” card has Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter accents that add shimmer and shine to the card.
Arlene’s “Deck the Halls” card is a special fold card, and uses Rhinestone Basic Jewels and silver sequins to create the shimmer and shine. Both are beautiful! I think Arlene did a wonderful job for her first ever card swap!
Jill created this Double Z Fold card for our Unit Swap. I was going to post a photo of the front, but that wouldn’t do the card justice. She used the Wise Men from Afar stamp set for the card. The “Celebrate the season” saying is from the Tags & Trimmings stamp set, also available as a bundle in wood mount or clear mount.
I hope today’s gallery of our Holiday 2017 Unit Swap has inspired you. I know they have inspired me! They even convinced me I need to add many of the products to my collection! You can add them to your collection as well. Just click on any of the blue highlighted links in today’s post (or any other post) or go here!
By the way, did you notice my Holiday 2017 Unit Swap card was not included in today’s post? I’ll be sharing it tomorrow, along with a couple of extra items that were handed out. I love Swap Time!
