The Magical Ink Artist’s May Swap Cards!
As promised yesterday, here are the May Swap cards from the Magical Ink Artists’s swap held on May 13, 2016. It’s a busy time of year here on Guam. Guam is hosting the Festival of the Pacific Arts this year so public school ended early. This means end of the year events – including graduations – are being held earlier than usual. As a result, we weren’t able to have as many participants in the swap this time around. (Note: You can find out more about Festival of the Pacific Arts on their Facebook page.)
Colleen used the A Nice Cuppa stamp set, Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies (now sold out!) and Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog for her Thanks card.
Anne used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, the Tree Builder Punch and Hello You Thinlits for her Hello card. I love that she mounted the clouds and tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Mercedes used the Hot Diggity Dog stamp set. She also mounted portions of her card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Why should you participate in swaps?
- It’s fun!
- It is a way to share your love of stamping with others.
- Get inspiration from the cards you receive back.
- And, for me, it is a way for me to have sample cards to share with you, my reader(s), and with my customers and potential customers at my live events. I often receive cards that are a different style than mine, which shows the versatility of the stamp sets, papers, embellishments and tools.
If you are interested in joining a swap, but don’t know where to start, then leave a comment. (Note: You will need to click on the post title and then scroll down to the comment section.) If I get enough interest then I will host a Mail In Swap for my readers. I look forward to reading your comments!
