Technique: Paper Piecing

In my last post I featured the Beautiful You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! using black and white with a splash of red using paper piecing. Today I continue with the paper piecing technique only this time the featured paper is the 6″x6″ Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. Paper piecing is a fun card making technique that will give your cards a unique look. It adds so much color and texture to your images. Especially images that include clothing, as in the dress and hat on today’s Beautiful You cards.

The above cards feature many of the same products that were used in my last post – the Beautiful You stamp set and the 2015-2017 In Color Envelope Paper – but they also feature the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack and the Me = Grateful stamp set. The cards are quick and easy to create, and exactly what I needed not just for my card collection, but also to show you a fun way to use the beach scene from the Serene Scenery paper collection AND an alternate use for the Envelope Paper. (It’s not just for envelopes!) I’m looking forward to playing with the other scenes that are featured in both collections.
