Strip Quilted Love Blossoms Card!
More scraps means more scrappy cards… so here is a Strip Quilted Love Blossoms card featuring the Love Blossoms Product Suite from Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions catalog. (Note: You can find my photo tutorial on how to create the Scrappy Strip Panel on my Tutorials page!)
The heart focal point on today’s card is one of the images from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set. I stamped the heart on Whisper White card stock using Blushing Bride ink, then cut it out and mounted it on a Soft Suede circle that was cut using the Circles Collection Framelits. I then matted the entire piece on a slightly larger Blushing Bride circle which I cut from the same Circles Collection Framelits. The dashed circle was done freehand using my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped the “Love You” from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set on Blushing Bride card stock using Soft Suede ink and cut it out with the coordinating banner framelit which is part of the Large Numbers Framelits Dies. I used my Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker to add highlights to the top and bottom edges of the banner. Both stamped pieces were then mounted to the front of the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack Strip Quilted card base, and a Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon bow was added to the stamped heart image. (Note: The ribbon is part of the Love Blossoms Embellishments Kit.)
The “Love You” saying and the heart image make the card a very suitable Valentine’s Day card, but it also makes a great Wedding, Anniversary, Engagement or Birthday card as well… especially if done in another color scheme!
